Rhodora Avon Conag garnered 2nd place in the Editorial Writing during the 13th Regional Tertiary Schools Press Conference held at La Rica Hotel, Tacloban City, last December 12-15, 2009.
A fourth year Bachelor of Arts student major in English of St. Peter’s College, Conag competed with other delegates from different Universities and Colleges in Region VIII. “THE ESSENCE… of the martial Law in Maguindanao” was her winning editorial article in English category.
“Winning in the Regional Press Conference despite the different competitive delegates was a great honor for herself and for the school,” said Ms. Conag. Other winners also received certificates from Mr. Jonathan Montejo, President of the Regional Tertiary School President and Advisers Association.
The conference was participated by over a hundred delegates from the whole region. With the theme “Quality Campus Journalism towards Social Development”.
